Contemptible Charity

An American friend recently submitted a Subject Access Request (SAR) to the charity Chawton House Library (CHL) with mixed results. She had been a financial supporter of CHL for many years having sponsored books and a Shire Horse. When she learned of Charity's decision to remove the Shires she ceased her donations and stated her reasons. After her initial donation CHL's records describe her as a 'lovely lady' but once she criticised their disposal of the Shire Horses an internal CHL email (copied below) questions her sanity. "Actually, in the below email (sic), she sounds like she could be sane ... we know better though." It is very revealing to see the contempt with which CHL disparages its own financial supporters.
