Boroondara Council and Whitehorse City Council are both advocating to the State government for the Hawthorn to Box Hill Trail to be built. 

The Whitehorse Integrated Transport Strategy is open for feedback until 4 Nov 2025.

You can provide feedback to Whitehorse Council on the urgent need for the Hawthorn Box Hill Trail as a safe cycling and pedestrian route:

• from the section of the Hawthorn to Box Hill Trail that finishes at Churchill Street in Mont Albert
• across over Elgar Road on a new bridge
• through the Box Hill Metropolitan Activity Centre
• connecting to the Box Hill to Ringwood Trail
