Despite being educated by numerous rabbit owners/rabbit rescues commenting on the videos regarding the danger of injury, stress and torment of mishandling rabbits; Plant Based Gabriel's Farm continues to encourage their toddler to inhumanely carry and mishandle rabbits for “cuteness”, likes, follows and shares full well knowing these acts are cruel.  The latest video shows the rabbit being roughly mishandled/dangled/squeezing while the child is running and screaming which could result in dropping or a spinal fracture, the rabbit is left in a moving rocking chair where he could fall/jump off to a cement slab resulting in broken bones or back.  Facebook Video Link

Animal cruelty encompasses behaviors harmful to animals; it is wrong to inflict suffering on any living creature.  A parent knowingly and intentionally promoting children to mishandle and terrify animals is a cause for concern because it is abusive to the animal.  

Animal welfare means how an animal is coping with the conditions in which it lives. An animal is in a good state of welfare if it is healthy, comfortable, well-nourished, safe, able to express innate behavior, and if it is not suffering from unpleasant states such as pain, fear, and distress which include inhumane handling.

Parents serve as role models and children learn responsible pet ownership by observing their parents behavior.  Sooner or later the tormented animal will act out from fear possibly harming the child or be severely injured or suffer from stress related illness.  

Many educated rabbit owners and rabbit rescue people have been blocked from the page as well as their comments of concern removed.

When you see a video featuring an animal, consider the source and whether it truly advocates for animals or is a promotion of animal cruelty or abuse.   Main petition link
