One of the strong voices against not telling the parents, Lucy Li, is up for re-election. She has a clear stance on this policy issue, supporting parents, in addition to a comprehensive platform that raises the overall quality of education. Her campaign is holding a fundraising event that features special guests — legislators covering Bridgewater-Raritan, State Senator Doug Steinhardt, Assemblyman Erik Petersen, and a State Board of Education member.

It would be great to hear what they have to say, have our voices heard, and show support.
Although the result of the last board vote regarding 5756 was disappointing, with only two votes to repeal (Jeremy Li and Lucy Li), one vote to abstain (Calistri), and the remaining six voting to keep it, it has at least been clarified that this policy is not mandatory. We hope the future holds better.
