Kid's Station and Mary Washington Healthcare have reached an agreement! Official statement below. THANK YOU to everyone who worked tirelessly on behalf of our children and the Kid's Station staff! Thank you, thank you, thank you. And thank you to both KinderCare and Mary Washington Healthcare for hearing us! Dear Staff and Families, We have wonderful news to share today: Kids’ Station powered by KinderCare will stay open! We realize last week’s announcement about the center closing caused anxiety. For that, all of us at Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) and KinderCare are sorry. We are pleased to share that after additional consideration, MWHC extended the current location lease to KinderCare on the campus of Mary Washington Hospital. Kids’ Station will remain at its current location until a new home can be found. MWHC and KinderCare will also work together to find a new, permanent location for the center near Mary Washington Hospital. Both MWHC and KinderCare will share updates with families as we develop relocation plans, find a new home for the center community, and prepare for the move to a permanent location. We thank you for your feedback and support of the center over the last week and look forward to continuing to provide your families with high quality childcare at Kids’ Station powered by KinderCare.
