Our grateful thanks to all 5,000 citizens who promptly signed the Campaign petition to keep the Sports Hall open, and also the many hundreds that attended the open meetings. What a fantastic show of support from our community!
Your commitment, together with action from Grant Shapps MP, brought Sports Hall owners GLL (operating as ‘Better’) to the table to discuss ways to keep our multi-sport facility open. Recent meetings have been challenging but constructive and, with GLL, we are hopeful of announcing positive developments shortly.
But this is just the start and there is a long road ahead to deliver a financially viable solution to guarantee the Hall’s future.
That is why we need your continuing involvement. In turn, we will keep all supporters updated on progress, especially details of facilities that may remain open for you, your families, friends and clubs.
