Below is a message from the President of UNICO, one of the outstanding supporters of the SMCPS: Please consider dropping off food and/or clothing donations on Saturday Dec. 5 and Monday, Dec. 7 at several locations listed below. "It is no secret that this is a time of great need for many families. COVID has really had a dramatic impact on everyone, but none more than the homeless and the poor. But we can help. UNICO is a service organization and, in these times, we need to step up and get ourselves back into the service game. It's been some time that we have done so. Last week, several chapter members met and developed a Food and Clothing Drive plan in which our members can participate.
Our plan includes gathering foodstuffs and clothing for the South Jersey Food Bank in Pleasantville and the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. Members are strongly encouraged to participate. To participate, and for your convenience, we ask that members drop off donations of food and clothing at any one of these three conveniently located member homes on the days and times listed below:"
Longo's Home 448 Coventry Lane, Galloway
Giaquinto's Home 212 Peachtree Lane EHT
Bonanni's Home 401 N. Argyle Avenue, Margate
Drop off days and times are:
Saturday, December 5 from 9:00AM - noon
Monday, December 7 from 7:00PM - 8:00 PM
Please note:
**Figure spending around $25 total in food and/or clothing as a guide
**Foodstuffs should be non-perishables
**Clothing can be new (preferred) or slightly used
**Clothing can be for men, women, or children -- all ages, all sizes
**Cold weather clothing is needed at the Rescue Mission

Several members have volunteered to transport all our donations to the Rescue Mission and Food Bank.
