What a great response our plea for common sense has generated. We want to thank each and every one who has signed this petition, your support will make a difference. Unfortunately, we are still not done yet. The deadline for comments to the Environmental Registry of Ontario is May 24th. Please submit your concerns to the following two links:
Our Councillor (Jennifer McKelvie) has published her Ward 25 newsletter and had indicated her objection to the Environmental Compliance Application that is required for this waste processing plant. We thank Jennifer for her common sense opposition to this project.
There are additional documents that have been uncovered that make this proposal even more outrageous. Please review the following report (published annually) from the City of Toronto, essentially it is a chemical emissions report (Chemtrac), and it shows that the Coronation Drive factories combined are some of the largest emitters of toxic pollutants in Toronto. This is before the project at 633 Coronation is even considered.

Once again, thank you for your support, please ensure everyone in your household, all your neighbours, relatives and friends sign this petition and add comments. We need to keep up this pressure as the damage to our neighbourhood will be significant and irreversible.
