Hello everyone,
In case you missed it, the Toronto Sun recently reported on the legal claim filed by Safe Neighbourhoods Toronto (SNT) against the City of Toronto and three City officials regarding the process used to select locations for new homeless shelters.
The lawsuit alleges that the City and the named officials acted unlawfully and in bad faith in making certain shelter-site decisions. These allegations have not yet been determined by the court.
Importantly for our community, the proposed shelter at 2204 Eglinton Ave W is one of the sites included in the lawsuit.
