I want to give a heartfelt thanks to Senator Ernst, Senator Mikulski, and Senator Klobuchar who have championed our legislation within the Senate. They worked very hard to ensure that our grandmother's legislation was brought for a vote expeditiously. I feel that victory is getting closer every day! Next the bill will be sent back to the House for final consideration. Once it is reapproved by the House of Representatives, it will be sent to the Oval Office for signature! Despite this being a long, difficult process, we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from supporters like you, as well as our representatives in Congress. Through this campaign, my family and I have had the honor of meeting other WASP like our grandmother, as well as some of the individuals and organizations who have been working for decades to preserve the legacy of the WASP. We have also been excited to meet young people who are just learning for the first time who the WASP were and what they did. I want to take a moment here to tell you about two of my grandmother's newest admirers, middle schoolers Avery and Jessee. They became so interested in the WASP that they decided to produce their own documentary about them! They entered their documentary in the National History Day contest and have been selected to travel to DC (their first time visiting the nation's capitol!) to compete at the national level! We are so proud of these young women and we know our grandmother would be too. One of our grandmother's favorite activities was speaking at schools and educating young people about the WASP. In honor of our grandmother and to show our gratitude for all the support our family has received, we are throwing our full support behind these young historians.
