Cycle Law Scotland
Feb 27, 2015
We are delighted to announce that the "Case for Presumed Liability research report" will soon be published and presented to the Scottish Government.
The report will be presented to Derek Mackay, Minister for Transport and the Islands, who like his predecessor, Keith Brown, has said recently that he currently remains unconvinced about the merits of introducing Presumed Liability and is keen to see further evidence to support the argument.
This report demonstrates that there is a clear and strong association between Presumed Liability legislation and higher levels of safe walking and cycling. All countries with high levels of safe walking and cycling have some form of Presumed Liability legislation.
A summary of the main conclusions and a link to the full report will be published in the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, we are keen to increase the number of online signatures to try and reach 10,000 by the time we publish the report and need your help.
Please ask friends and family to sign. Here is the link again.
