This week, post-Brexit talks aimed at securing free trade agreements between Australia and the UK began, after British Trade Minister, Mark Price, met with Australian Minister for Trade, Steven Ciobo, in Canberra. As well as negotiating free trade, developments are being made for negotiating visas and free movement between the two nations, with a leading economist for RPS Group stating "a free-trade agreement might be an opportunity to genuinely negotiate to make it easier for Australians to go to England". You can read more about the post-Brexit negotiations between Australia and the UK here: http://www.cfmo.org/2016/12/free-trade-deal-on-cards-for-australia.html We have also submitted a letter to the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, David Davis, urging his support for establishing free movement between the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand once the UK leaves the European Union in March 2017. This comes only a week after leaked documents from the British government revealed plans for creating a "prosperity zone" with Canada, Australia and New Zealand once the United Kingdom leaves the EU.
