Six years ago, I was saying goodnight to a dear friend, a local, non-factory farmer's son in Maryland. He is a loving kind individual and is totally selfless and loves animals. Very kind. Fun. Always speaks with a laugh in his voice.

I noticed for the first time he sounded very down, flat. I asked why? His answer pierced my heart and my being.

He told me he was dreading the morning.  This was unusual since he is a very early morning, happy and joyful riser.  Again, I asked why.

He said he was dreading the sound of the next morning. Again, I asked why. The farm is peaceful, beautiful and serene. 

"Tomorrow many will come and lliterally drag newborn calfs from their mothers. They will be taken to the slaughterhouse.

The mothers cry, wail, are get very anxious.  The baby calfs cry and call for their mothers to help them. It's very loud and painful" .

The folks from the slaughterhouse and his father ignore their pleas for help. Compassion is totally lacking and they literally drag the babies, hurting and torturing them, to get the calfs into the trucks to be killed for peoples' eating pleasure. 

My friend felt sick, devestated and sad. His heart was breaking before the wee hours of the morning. Terror would start within hours. He said the sound was sickening and heartbreaking. 

This is why I am asking you to sign this petition. We desperately need legislative changes, transparancy and education, with specific actions (I will list later), including your suggestions and help. 

I am trying desperately with others to save as many animals as we can. Tens of thousands are killed because we don't have the resources. I feel helpless working in this "one by one" manner.  It's always the same few who help. 

I am not posting photos or videos of these horrendous cruelties because it would deeply hurt and offend many. You may find yourselves if you so choose. I couldn't watch for years myself. Finally, I had no choice as I needed to know the facts (not drama) in order to be of better help to save these innocent, vulnerable, living creatures. 

There are so many kind, loving people in this world, and there are also very cruel, sadistic, stoic, and uncaring people who have access to these vulnerable beings. It is up to us to help these animals, as we domesticated them. It's the right thing to do. 

Children watching become equally traumatized or emotionally scarred and broken. I cannot even describe, this minute, a video of a young person (no face showing, being filmed by a co-conspirator) slowly torturing, by stepping on and off, and eventually killing a puppy, just weeks old.

The squeals and cries, and footage literally made me shake with horror early this particular Saturday morning (I did take action and immediately reported, but the shameful feed was done). I had gotten up very early to try to save dogs with only hours to live from KILL SHELTERS. What a shocking start to that day. This event was clearly orchestrated by two teenage children. 

We are all born without hate, innately kind, loving and pure (save some few mentally ill). I see this in my work with children. Children are loving and interact without bias. Changes start to occur between the ages of seven (7) and eight (8). 

Let us please, work as a team, and hold on to that loving kind nature, be one, love all equally, and care for all life. Domestic, wildlife, children, elderly, et al.

ACTION is needed in a peaceful, professional, thought provoking, goal orientated manner.
