My NOVA Response and UM Cure 2020's Freudian Slip

Yesterday, Alanny Moutinho, a research fellow at the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, NOVA University of Lisbon replied to me as follows: "The questions will be about the strengths, weakness, threats and opportunities of the use of modified insects (any type of modification - techniques that you are aware of) to prevent vector-borne diseases. And in this way collect and synthetize the critical existing information regarding the topic. We pretend to publish the results in a research article and your name will not be identified in any moment and the information will be utilized exclusively for this study. And we can send the interview transcript for your validation before the publishing it." My response today (condensed): Dear Alanny and Dr. Sousa, I mentioned previously that I would like to review all of the questions ... I need to have ready the numerous ignored studies and the names of those researchers (to give proper credit to them) ... which publications and/or media would this be published? 1) There are no strengths of Wolbachia-infected Aedes releases. In fact, I was anonymously sent this study: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-018-03981-8 Key quotes: "The mosquito Ae. aegypti, primary vector of dengue, is not a natural host of Wolbachia." "Transinfection of various strains [of Wolbachia] ... has led to field releases of wMel-transinfected Ae. aegypti in these 10 countries: Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam, Kiribati, Fiji and Vanuatu ... [more recently, the U.S. and Mexico]." "We find that the symbiont [Wolbachia] increases the mean and the variance in Aedes aegypti susceptibility to dengue infection." In other words: Wolbachia actually ENHANCES dengue transmission by Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. 2) Re: "We pretend to publish the results in a research article and your name will not be identified in any moment and the information will be utilized exclusively for this study." I realize that English is not your first language. But, from what I gather, your team of researchers want to "collect and synthetize the critical existing information" by using my research but not giving me any credit for it whatsoever. 3) You have not provided me with the questions which may leave me unprepared or unable to give proper credit to all of the ignored lead scientists and researchers who have worked extremely hard to expose the dangers (even risking their lives) of Wolbachia-infected Aedes releases. 4) You have not identified which publications and/or media my work (via the interview) would appear. You stated, "We pretend to publish the results in a research article and your name will not be identified." This makes zero sense ethically and morally. The only "opportunities of the use of modified insects [Wolbachia-infected Aedes]" are as follows: 1) People, like you, can acquire research funding and grants and thereby obtain a degree. 2) Oncologists (including ocular oncologists) can profit from the treatments they provide for some lymphomas, rare cancers, and rare eye conditions (e.g. the clinical appearance of uveal melanoma). 3) Fertility clinic owners will profit from men who are unknowingly suffering low-grade Wolbachia infections. These infections will also impact their testosterone levels and increase their rates of depression and suicide. 4) Businesses who profit from gravely ill and/or dying people (including babies and children) will make more money. The WHO endorsed the use of Wolbachia-infected Aedes even AFTER Chen, Dong, et al. published their findings (which should be making the rounds in every oncology department around the world). Disappointed you did not read my previous response to you in full (or were unable to understand it). R.
