Our petition has received over 1000 signatures! We want to express our immense gratitude for your signatures! None of this would be possible without your support! We have made substantial progress, and our voices have been heard, but our goal of fostering a safer and more welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ students is far from achieved.

Our petition reached the IBO and we got a response on 17th May 2023, in which we were promised improvements and a forum to discuss this further, but we have yet to witness any decisive action. We do recognise that there were a few social media posts to signpost that the IB acknowledged Pride Month.

After the summer, we responded on 25 August 2023 and have not had any contact or responses since.

Our voices matter, and we believe that we can bring about the change we seek, and we will continue to push the IBO to take action and visible initiatives to help the very students it vows to protect.
