Hello All,

Not only are we being dumped on with LEAD FUEL and exposed to HIGH LEVELS of CONSTANT NOISE from these planes, but there are also real dangers of safety of which I have reported to everyone.

Earlier this year I emailed evidence of 4 NEAR MISSES (Now at 7), FLIGHT SCHOOLS during LIGHTNING STORMS and TORNADO WARNINGS to the Airport, The City of Palm Coast, and Flagler County Commissioners.  NOT ONE responded.  Then I went to a County meeting and asked why they have not responded.  Andy Dance said I needed to send my complaints to Heidi Petitio, the County Administrator.  I knew that was a BIG LIE, because our complaints just get tossed back and forth, but I sent her (and them) an email that night anyway and guess what?  SHE NEVER RESPONDED!  I thought I would at least get a CANNED response, but NOTHING!  The ball was in her court.

And NOW here we are, folks!  Heidi Petito is being HONORED by SMA Healthcare, a BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FACILITY in BUNNELL!  AND at $300 a PLATE!!  Will they ALL be there?  ...at our expense?  The IRONY!

All this while these planes dump TOXIC LEAD over our HOMES, SCHOOLS, and COMMUNITY!  A simple search and you will find the EPA tells us the dangers of LEAD EXPOSURE in CHILDREN are PERMANENT!  This includes LOWER IQs, ADHD, IMPULSITIVITY, ETC.  Studies also show CONSTANT NOISE from these PLANES affects children's ability to CONCENTRATE and this too leads to BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS.  They are not solving our proplems, they are CREATING THEM!

This isn't ANTI-AVIATION; it's pro-prevention.  Behavioral Health facilities treat FALLOUT--upstream fixes like LEAD phase out - PREVENTS it, SAVING $$$$ in cognitive/behavioral costs.  

TO PARENTS: Document and File FAA complaints (date/time/street records) and include the City of Palm Coast and Flagler County Commission.  They need to know this issue is important to YOU.

TO PALM COAST and FLAGLER COUNTY:  Let's make Flagler a MODEL for others to follow -- Pair your SMA Healthcare Center with CLEAN SKIES!  Test children's BLLs near the airport, FUND UNleaded Infrastructure, and Collaborate with SMA Healthcare on Exposure Education.  It's not either/or, it's SMARTER ALL-AROUND!
