More supporters are needed if we're to get the giants that are Viacom and Nickelodeon to listen. Here is a list of children's television programs that have, unfortunately, been forgotten about or aren't airing or streaming as they should be. The Backyardigans, notably seen on the Noggin streaming app, has not seen on Television as much, with one of the last airings being a rerun of a season 4 episode called "The Funnyman Boogeyman". Franklin and Franklin and Friends, also seen on Noggin, but not shown on television as they used to be. Go Diego Go is no longer shown on television as it used to be. Little Bear is no longer seen on television as much.
Little Bill is pretty much forgotten about. Ni Hao, Kai-Lan is not seen as much, since some people claim that it's much too similar to Dora the Explorer, when it clearly is not. Miss Spider's Sunny Patch is only seen on Noggin, but not as much on TV. Much like Little Bill, Oswald is pretty much not as remembered as it used to be. And the list goes on and on. So, the results are obvious as to the point I'm trying to make.
These classic shows and a few others need to be brought back for the children of today. I feel that education is the most important thing you can give a child, especially at home, where learning opportunities are limited to educational videos on YouTube. Please, children of the 90's and 2000's, hear my call to action. Let your voices be heard, and tell Nickelodeon and Viacom to preserve the shows of your childhood. Please, before it's too late.
