A big thank you to everyone who has written directly to Sajid Javid asking him to call in the hugely controversial Woolsington Hall applications. Lots of you copied us into your correspondence and we believe there are now almost 70 letters sitting with the Secretary of State. We are awaiting confirmation of the total number of call-in requests and will update you accordingly. Many letters were submitted from those outside of Newcastle, further highlighting the national controversy prompted by these outrageous proposals. Hopefully anyone who has not already written to Sajid Javid asking him to intervene will be inspired by these efforts. There is still hope we may yet save this historic woodland and hugely significant wildlife habitat from unnecessary destruction.
