Another good report in the Lymington Times this week emphasising that while all of the authorities are in favour of the average speed cameras, the problem is getting Hampshire Police to support and fund it. I am going to put a Freedom of Information Request in to find out exactly how much policing the Forest roads have had in the last three months and at what sort of times. Whilst we are grateful for anything, I already know that it isn't enough.
Incidentally, it still hasn't been confirmed whether the driver who hit Juma will be prosecuted for driving without due care and attention. Five weeks since the incident the information has still not - as far as I know - been put in front of the officer's Sergeant and will still need to reviewed by the CPS before a formal summons is issued.
