Dear supporters -- After weeks of campaigning with support from nearly 300,000 of you, we have made some amazing progress. The press and politicians are sitting up and taking notice. Politicians including Mayor of London Boris Johnson have spoken out. Last week Boris’ deputy held a meeting with Westbrook and Hackney Council to urge them not to evict us before Christmas. But we still face eviction in the new year. 93 families, a community which has it’s roots in New Era Estate, could be out on the streets because of a greedy property firm from America. So far David Cameron hasn’t said a word about what is happening to New Era. We need him to speak up and protect hard working british families like the ones on our estate from a greedy US property company.
