Our Fight for Improving Galilee. A Street Level Parking Lot for Procaccianti and Paolino's Gain and Our Loss by Making Galilee A Stopping Ground for Block Island Is Not the Answer.  Here is a link that shows my most recent address to the Narragansett Town Council to continue to fight for Galilee.  Elizabeth, a supporter of Galilee, helped me with the presentation as I only have 3 minutes to speak during the Open Forum.    The Narragansett Times printed my article that was read to the Narragansett Town Council on Monday, August 15,2022.  Here is a video link to my presentation that I posted on You Tube.    https://youtu.be/HuRA-J0W4wE

This week, I sent out an APRA request to the RIDEM to obtain all the parking lot leases issued in Galilee.   I do not know why the State of Rhode Island, or the Town of Narragansett is not operating those parking lots.   It does not take rocket science to operate a street level parking lot.   Yet, a street level parking lot takes in hundreds of thousands of dollars during the summer season.    This is one of the many reasons why I feel the RIDEM should no longer be in control of leasing out land in Galilee.     They have blindly supported Procaccianti and Paolino by awarding them leases that makes them millions, and it takes away millions from the State and the Town of Narragansett.   In addition, the RIDEM has failed to prosecute Procaccianti and Paolino for creating an environmental hazard by Procaccianti and Paolino intentionally abandoning the Lighthouse Inn.   In the 1990 lease it clearly states the hotel and restaurant needs to be maintained.    Logically, you would think the RIDEM would fine and sanction Procaccianti and Paolino for breaching their lease and for their gross neglect of the hotel and for creating an environmental hazard, but the RIDEM has Procaccianti Developers to continue to control 2 or the 3 parcels for street level parking.    Governor McKee has failed to speak out about the gross mismanagement of the RIDEM, and our local Senators and Representatives have failed to speak out against the RIDEM for condoning the reckless actions of Procaccianti and Paolino.    Many tell me what is new in Rhode Island?   It is corruption as usual where the super-rich get sweetheart deals to make multimillions at the expense of our hard-working citizens.  Just recently, our Governor cast the deciding vote to give up to 60 million for a new soccer stadium in Pawtucket, RI.   Ironically, the developer is leaving behind a Stadium he recently started in Arizona.    Why will a soccer stadium work in RI rather than Arizona?   In RI, we are a very small state.   We do not have a high percentage of people that have a love to see soccer games.    Governor McKee recently gave all State workers a $3000-retention bonus including judges and state workers who have a job for life. Hopefully, Governor McKee will not get re-elected.
