The above picture is a photo of the abandon Lighthouse Inn Pool area. Is it right for the RIDEM to award Procaccianti - Paolino Developers who have over 10 Billion in Investible Assets to abandon a hotel that now needs to be demolished adding potential poisons, toxins, and other harmful chemicals to our landfills? Is it right the State of Rhode Island has to pay for the demolition due to the neglect of Procaccianti Developers? Is it right the RIDEM orchestrated a behind the scenes parking lot lease with Procaccianti Developers? The result of the demolition can only HURT AND NOT HELP OUR ENVIRONMENT. Senators Bridget Geraci Valverde and Alana DiMaria, and Representatives Carol Hagan McEntee and Teresa Tanzi we need you to reach out to the recently appointed RIDEM Director Terrance "Terry" Gray and tell him he needs to remove Procaccianti and Paolino from its month to month parking lot lease, and he needs to award the Town of Narragansett the lease for the 5 acre parcel and tell Procaccianti Developers to be removed from the land as soon as possible, so the Town can create a viable mixed use development plan that is Best for Narragansett. Our residents are also hoping our Town Council will not issue any Special Use Permit that is required to operate a parking lot on any of the 3 lots as part of the 5 acre parcel. Let us hope all council members: Jesse Pugh, Ewa Dzwierzynski, Susan Buonanno, Patrick Murray, and Deb Kopech will Stand United in our fight to remove Procacciani - Paolino from Galilee, so the Town can create a development that WILL HELP AND NOT HURT GALILEE. In the RFP, it notes the proposals are supposed to help the State of Rhode Island, the Town of Narragansett, the general public, and Commercial Fishermen. How can awarding a street level parking lot to a private developer who showed gross neglect to the property it leased out be good for the State of Rhode Island, the Town of Narragansett, the general public, and Commercial Fishermen?
