UPDATE To all our friends and supporters, My brother has finally (2 months after being cleared for work) heard from The Monroe Police Department. They have scheduled a Pre Termination Hearing. Guess I got my response since this petition was my idea. We can not just accept this. The hearing is scheduled for this Monday- July 17, 2017 at 7PM. It is in the Town Hall Chambers 7 Fan Hill Road, Monroe and open to the public. At the hearing the Chief and the Monroe Board of Police Commissioners will hear Officer Walls reasons as to why he should keep his job. The Commissioners will then make their determination as to whether Officer Wall will be allowed to return to work. We ask everyone who can come and add their support to please, please do so. Just to reiterate Officer Andrew Wall is a 22 year Veteran of Monroe, has received awards and medals for going above and beyond what is required of him. He was here throughout the entire Sandy Hook tragedy. Officer Wall was one of our many Officers who worked non stop to assist Newtown in any capacity required. Some of the victims of Sandy Hook have signed our petition so I felt it would be okay to include this. We had the honor of having the Elementary School children attend a school here in Monroe for the years it took to build their new one. Our Police Officers felt privileged to look after these children. And quite a bond was built, with every officer getting a goodbye goody bag when they returned to the Sandy Hook School. And then he beat terminal, stage 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer. And now here we are my family and I are desperate for Andrew to be allowed to return to his job. To live a life with his wife Lori and their 12yr old son AJ that has some normalcy. Once again we thank all of you who have come this far with us and can only hope you will continue to support us. Sincerely, Patty Wall Lazzara
