This was a great visit with about three gentlemen n their spouses. I am conducting my own assessments , for no one else is. They are in agreement that we must go to using the land as a tool for healing. The land is hungry for grouth, maintance and life they say. "We can teach and reach the youth through farming and teaching, if the leaders could help with seed and funding", this is a great plan long overdue, they agree and are hopeful. They as well.gave me a complaint on , federal funding, grant funding and other funding coming in toward domestic water, irrigation and acequia funding that they believe needs to.be reviewed and investigated making sure it is being utilized and spread equally with all patron and water right members. They seem to think that old , unethical political embezzlers from times past and present are in these positions endangering funding from misuse and shananagans . Names were brought up, but we cannot judge, that is the judiciary process that.must investigate. One gentleman told me , he worries with old commission members and madordomos that have been caught in past for " malas cosas y negocios " ( bad n unethical business) and never get punished or stoped and then transfer to other places where they can continue their Bad behaviors because they are connected and people don't report them, and if they do nothing is done. . the saying one of these men told me was one from long ago " sige LA vivora y LA rana y ayaras la persona goloso de las aguas y los fondos." Translation, follow the snake ( water snake I'm assuming) and the frogs and you will find the greedy individual with all the water and funds . I suppose we must research and investigate who is representing these important issues. If corrupt superintendents , or directors of poor schools and other agencies , city county mamagement and non profits embezzle millions or thousands of dollars and are still allowed to continue to run around doing the same, without putting a day in jail, then yes, stealing from the kids is easy , then stealing from other funds will be much easier, and less obvious. This is all related to our overall problems in this area. So go to local meetings , state meetings and find out who is representing your rights and voice your concerns. GOD BLESS.
