We just have weeks left before we are forced to leave behind our community and everything we have built for ourselves. We don’t deserve to be punished because we were duped by fake lawyers.

Our lawyer was never registered with the Department of Immigration. He lied to us, took our money lodged a wrong and incomplete application on our behalf, and then vanished. Our next lawyer was also dodgy and didn’t do what we paid him for.

It took me months in courts o find out what was officially done using the freedom of information act. Even though that “lawyer” was disqualified, we were blacklisted: our Ministerial Intervention applications were never even forwarded to the Minister.
