The last 18 years have been extremely hard but it's people like you, this compassionate spirit of Australia that keeps me going and helps me raise my voice against a system that is stacked against hardworking people like my husband and me.

I have been living in this beautiful country for nearly two decades. I've been a successful business owner contributing to the local economy. More recently, I've been working as an aged care worker, working 50-hour weeks and doing overtime while our country is suffering through massive staff shortages.

I have done everything by the book to get permanent residency. At various stages in our journey though, we happened to meet and trust lawyers who cheated us. We shouldn't be suffering and living in uncertainty for years on end just because our lawyer committed a fraud without us knowing about it.
