Will you tolerate aircraft noise post Covid-19?

CAA is consulting on ‘modernising’ airspace (CAP1887). Plane Hell Action SE believes this is an opportunity to implement good practice in the light of a revised SoNA and the findings of independent research on the health impacts brought about by noise levels, sleep deprivation, length of time exposed to unbroken noise and polluted air.
CAP1887 fails to seriously consider the impacts of noise. This should be its primary goal in airspace modernisation. No one community should benefit to the disadvantage of another in airspace around airports and where planes fly at low altitude (below 7000 ft).
In timely manner we ask you to respond to 2 surveys which ask for our observations on reduced aircraft noise as a result of Covid-19, neither taking more than 5 minutes:
1. CPRE is conducting a Noise Attitudes Survey to find out how aircraft noise affects people, closes 1 June: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/cpreaviation
2. No 3rd Runway Coalition is gathering your views on what life is like under a flight path during lockdown. Click the link to access the survey https://smartsurvey.co.uk/s/T4G18I/
Will residents tolerate any aircraft noise post Covid-19 as they become accustomed to the sounds of nature? Peace and tranquillity are normally so rare in our busy lives. We’re having a glimpse of what life was like before aircraft noise and it is a revelation.
Some context for CPRE: its report was published earlier this year showing the need for better mapping of aircraft noise and more research to understand the impact of aircraft noise on health (http://www.cpresussex.org.uk/campaigns/gatwick/item/3069-flight-blight-the-environmental-and-social-costs-of-aviation-expansion )
