Sevenoaks 20mph scheme final step - KCC public consultation

Thank you to everyone who has supported the petition for 20mph speed limits in Sevenoaks, both online and on paper. The petition was presented to the Sevenoaks Joint Transportation Board in June 2021: as a result of this Kent County Council has considered the request and is now formally proposing 20 mph speed limits in Sevenoaks town, and also including the introduction of a new zebra crossing on Dartford Road south of Vine Court Road, assisted by a minor route realignment.

A public consultation on the proposal is now underway. This is the final step in this process to achieve a much safer, cleaner, healthier Sevenoaks: if there is majority support for the scheme in the consultation it will go forward.
