DEFRA and George Eustice still want Geronimo dead! After all this time...

George Eustice has given us until the end of this month (31st August) to either agree to slaughter Geronimo or to issue proceedings for a judicial review at court... If neither of those happen then he has said DEFRA will take enforcement action to force the slaughter of Geronimo.
In this latest response to me, I do not feel that George Eustice has addressed the valid questions and concerns raised by the British Alpaca Society or myself.
The right to learn and apply validated science for the benefit of all livestock and UK TB control should not be a matter of conflict. There should be collaboration between all stakeholders, not least because as Geronimo is being kept safely in isolation (as he has been for the last 12 months), it cannot be said that his continued existence poses an imminent threat. Killing Geronimo without a proper investigation and consultation between all stakeholders will ultimately not help to address the issue of proper TB management in this country.
We are now crowd funding and more details are on there. Thank you so much for signing, sharing and pledging, it means so much!

Back in March the cull was stopped by the Minister because new evidence showed DEFRA knew tuberculin injections caused positive Enferplex test results!!! Nothing has changed since then! George Eustice still maintains he has to die without further testing because the results are 'strong evidence of infection'. Hmm!?! If that was truly the case experts say he would have been dead by last Christmas. What is this Government department thinking??? Geronimo is proving DEFRA wrong every day!
