Dear supporters,

It's been a year since the violent eviction of encampments in Toronto's downtown parks, and since you helped us push 'A Path Forward' to the forefront of urgent issues in Toronto. I sincerely thank you for that, and want you to know that I am still pushing, along with many others, for a human rights-compliant approach to encampments and homelessness.

Today, as part of his mayoral platform, progressive candidate Gil Penalosa — the only opponent to John Tory — has formally adopted the policies of 'A Path Forward' as his platform on making shelters safer.
