It has been quite a journey and I would like to share some great news!
On Monday, June 7, an open letter was sent to the 25 city councilors of Toronto expressing the community's concern on the removal of the basketball court and the impact of the modular housing on the community's safety and prosperity.
Today, I received a brief update on the matter.
"After further consideration and discussions with Councillor Ford, City of Toronto planning and housing staff have decided to not go forward with this proposed modular housing project."
I was ecstatic upon receiving the news as it meant that our voices were heard! This truly shows the impact we have as a community when we come together to support a cause. It is because of each and everyone of you that the Tandridge community will be able to preserve the outdoor amenities for our youth. Your support has been greatly appreciated.
