Gov. Kay Ivey has signed SB60 protecting historical monuments.

Our wonderful Governor Kay Ivey has signed SB60, there was word that this bill was going to be passed into law so we didn't promote this petition once we received that information. We left it up just in case because you never know with these destructive groups that want to destroy these memorials. However not only does the state of Alabama now protect all historical monuments and memorials over 50 years in age, our local officials appeared to not be planning to appease these groups regardless. So our local soldiers memorial is safe. Thanks to everyone that signed, it is much appreciated by those of us whose ancestors lost their lives and never returned to their homes here in Madison County, AL.
