I’ve been reading through all the messages left on this petition and I’m seeing so many healthcare workers and I want to say:

Thank. You. So. Much.

You are the real heroes all the time, but especially now. Your sacrifice and diligence and care are not going unnoticed, and we are all so grateful!

And I happen to think you deserve the ability to get to work safely! The reality is clear: cycling helps protect you from the virus, and our city should be doing everything it can to protect you while you’re on your bike.

I’m still amazed by the response to this petition. We are SO close to 500 signatures in just 5 days! Please keep sharing with everyone you can...everywhere you can. And be sure to use the tag #OpenTrailsCHI so we can all see who is in this! Because together, we can open our trails and our streets to people, and help create safe places for people to be and overcome.
