Dear Friends:
Over a month has now passed since the denial of certiorari by the State Supreme Court, and the sense of loss of Strawberry Fields remains as raw and painful to us all. The Save Cheyenne board has been active on several fronts. We have completed the fairly extensive preparatory work required to participate in IndyGive! -- more about this in a minute -- and we, along with others in the community, have been having exploratory meetings with City Council members regarding a potential Protect Our Parks city charter amendment which we hope can be put before voters in the April 2019 municipal election. (Thank you to Michael Chaussee for helping us craft clear ballot language.) We are not there yet, but most of the discussions have been fruitful and we remain hopeful that we can find ballot language that will garner the support of a majority of council members. Stay tuned.
The IndyGive! campaign is now open! Please take a moment to give now so your donation will be matched. We are also joining with the Catamount Institute and a number of other IndyGive! non-profits for a Give campaign kick-off. Details are given below. We hope you can join us.

We are pleased and grateful to be able to report that our appeal for IndyGive! matching grants for Save Cheyenne was met with a very generous response resulting in $6,000 in pledged matching grants. A most sincere thank you to the Burrowing Owl, Gallery 113, Broadmoor Neighbors, Neighbors of Cheyenne Canyon, Jim Bensberg, Steve Price, Kat and Bob Tudor, the Save Cheyenne Board, and an anonymous donor for this support.
Of course, now these matching grants have to be matched. We hope that all of you who have participated in IndyGive! in the past will do so again this year with a donation to Save Cheyenne (as well as to other deserving non-profits of your choice). If you are new to IndyGive!, please consider participating in it this year. Our heartfelt thanks in advance.
Share this link on your social media, and ask others to give as well! Be looking for a Bristol Brewery Happy Hour we won - details to follow soon. You can join us in trying their Black Lager developed for the IndyGive! season.
Cheers,
