We are nearly 2.5 times over the original petition goal. This is incredible. The people are waking up to Flavortown and we are fanning flames of freedom everywhere.
With today's update, (credit Andrew Caputo on the idea) we are going to highlight a cause that's important to the Flavortown movement.
Citizens have been consistently detained, fined, and arrested for choosing to exercise their rights. A lot of BIPOC and allies are literally fighting for their lives in the streets, protesting against injustice, fascism, and police brutality.
Please consider checking out Black Lives Matter bail funds and legal help. If you're in a position to help in any way, we are forever grateful.
Today in C*l*mb*s alone, video has emerged of police driving through protestor lines, hitting protestors with bikes, and even STEALING AN AMPUTEE'S LEGS. Even in the centuries since Cristobal Colon landed in Hispaniola and subjugated natives, the "victors" AKA landed gentry and white colonizers, have continued to oppress lower classes and write history and laws for themselves.
Defunding the police, community action, and forming an environment of equal opportunity are Flavortonian values and we say loudly and unequivocally, BLACK LIVES MATTER.
