Hello Everyone...Good news!!!...We have a Bill...With your support, advocacy and hard work, we have legislation that has been issued in support of Down Payment Asst...SB491  

We have been steady working and glad to report to the group that Senator Gail Davenport, issued legislation in support of Down Payment Asst using American Rescue Plan Funds to fund the Down Payment Assistance Program to help create affordable housing and to stabilize our working families...We had about 20 Senators to sign on in support of the Down Payment Asst Bill, SB491. 

Families currently renting, wanting to purchase a home, have been priced out of the market by investors, corporations, hedge fund managers, private equity, etc. Families having to move due to an increase in rents causes a disruption to the learning and education of our children causing them to drop behind in their studies on top of the COVID impact.  This matter is now a state problem that has become a housing crisis and needs to be solved through legislation at the State level. 

We are happy to report that we have a Senate hearing on the DPA Bill,  SB491 on Monday, March 7th, 3pm,  307 CLOB Building, Rm 307, Atlanta, Ga., 30334. This is the building across from the Capitol Building. 

We are asking everyone who can come to the Capitol to speak in support of Down Payment Asst, Bill SB491.
