Both hearings were held yesterday on HB106 and SB475. Both bills had tremendous support from the organ donation community, the University of Maryland Medical Center, the Maryland State Fireman's Association, the Fraternal Order of Police and the many Senators and Delegates who have signed on to push this legislation. There was no testimony opposing either bill and speaking to one of the legislative assistants from a Senators office she is about 85% sure this measure will pass in this session. Using the words of my CEO we are "cautiously optimistic" but we aren't claiming victory yet.
