"Say it ain't so..."

Although my team started the #NoKaepernickNoNFL petition which is still live, it's time for me to end this Super Bowl petition.

I've thought about keeping this petition live for any potential updates ... but to be honest we accomplished what we needed to accomplish: To bring awareness on what the Super Bowl halftime stage means for future performers.

I think we made a point with this petition. The NFL got so spooked it made them bring Jay-Z on board (a move I forgive him for...but will never forget).

Therefore, I don't see this as a "loss".

I believe that you either win or you learn. We learned about the NFL business, plus artists who have a backbone on making real change and who doesn't.

I want to give a special thanks to the team @ Change.org that helped me (Alex, Syndey, Molly & Juliana) as well as 117,000 of you who signed this petition! We made noise. We left an impact. You should be proud!

Final note: Don't be afraid to make your voice heard on issues that are important to you. Will people talk trash about you? Sure. I know I had my fair share of haters when I created this petition. But I also had my fair share of supporters as well, and the number of signatures here proves it.

Hopefully, in this 2020s decade, people will realize how much power they really have in forcing change. That includes each one of us as well.

If we're scared to speak out & take action on social issues, evil things will keep happening and we'll be complaining on the sidelines -- waiting for that one person or team to be courageous enough to take some type of action.

Don't wait for that person. BE THAT PERSON. Change.org is a great platform you can use to take action. That's what I did. You should do it too.
