Z 2022-29 Beazer Homes to be heard by Marietta Planning Commission tomorrow

The Marietta Planning Commission will hear Z 2022-29 Tuesday evening at 6 pm at Marietta City Hall, 205 Lawrence Street. This is two blocks off of Marietta Square. 

The Attorney Kevin Moore has submitted a surprisingly brief letter of stipulations and nothing has changed despite fairly critical concerns pointed out by City Staff. 

The City Public Works has the following traffic projections for Volume

Proposed Driveway 1 on Bells Ferry at Skip Wells Park: AM/PM no driveway exists now, after development 224 AM/237 pm

Proposed Driveway 2 on Bells Ferry to the south: AM/PM no driveway exists now, after development 172 AM/134 PM

Thanks to those of you who signed the petition. Please ask your spouse/partner to sign also and mention it to your neighbors.  No one wants to take the time to attend a 6 pm meeting on a weekday during the start of the Holiday season. That is just what the zoning attorney and Beazer are hoping for.  If  you can possibly attend just to raise your hand in opposition it will help.

This application will have a significant impact on the traffic on Bells Ferry and it does not appear to be a plan that will enhance the community or preserve open space based on the City Planner's comments.
