Today, we launch a crucial new phase of the campaign, our official partnership with global children's charity Plan International UK calling on Parliament to make harassment a #CrimeNotCompliment.

The current law is not fit for purpose. We need all forms of public sexual harassment to be made illegal. Found out more, and how you can support, here.

We are launching our solution to the problem: a specific, stand-alone criminal offence which would finally give women and girls proper, effective legal protection from sexual harassment in public. Read about it in our policy briefing.

Our research has found that:

Since June, half of girls (51%) in the UK have experienced PSH.

80% of parents worry about their daughter facing harassment from as young as 11.

70% of parents whose daughters had experienced PSH, didn't report it to the police.

72% of victims said knowing it was a criminal offence would make them more likely to report it to the police.

We need you to make change with us:

1. Share the #CrimeNotCompliment campaign - TwitterInstagram, Facebook

2. Get your MP's attention - guide here

3. Galvanise your community - guide here

We need as much MP backing to get the Bill passed in Parliament. We also need to build a surge of grassroots support in order to create the cultural change which must accompany the bill.

Thank you for all the help, and we hope you'll continue to join us on our journey of making this a #CrimeNotCompliment.
