While recent investments into early detection and diagnostics are welcome, our country still lags behind global leaders like the United States and Australia in building a truly comprehensive response.

Our new report compares Canada’s current efforts with the bold, coordinated strategies seen elsewhere — and highlights critical gaps in funding, treatment access, and national policy.

Despite its growing impact, pancreatic cancer receives less than 2% of site-specific cancer research funding in Canada. And without a focused national strategy, patients continue to face unequal access to life-extending treatments and clinical trials, especially in smaller provinces.

That’s why, when Parliament returns on May 19th following the federal election, we’ll be submitting this report to the Standing Committee on Health.

Read the report. Share it with your MP.

Because small steps won’t solve a big problem. Canadians deserve a plan that matches the urgency of this disease.
