It is the lack of political will which is one of the primary reasons for such a sad state of affairs in the area of animal welfare in India.

But there are exceptions. Not all politicians in India lack the will to help animals. Vijay Kumar the municipal councillor (elected member) from Trilok Puri, East Delhi can be seen feeding the dogs of his area (pic in the post).

The post says that a politician who has compassion for animals will definitely be compassionate and understanding towards his people. And India needs such people like  Vijay Kumar to become our elected councillors and ministers. These are the people who are above petty politics. For them a life is more precious than a human vote.  We Indians should vote and support such individuals. Genuine people alone have a right to represent us Indians in the parliament.

The Govt of Andhra Pradesh is going to very soon launch animal ambulance throughout its state. Let's hope the Govt has also worked on providing good medical care centres for  the  sick and injured animals.

Last year in 2020 Karnataka state Govt came out with a similar decision to operate govt ambulances for domestic animals. They were to implement the decision in two phases. In the first phase 15 districts were to get ambulances operational amd in the second phase another 15 districts wiere to get the ambulances operational.

Well the south Indian state Govts have  definitely taken a lead in the sector of animal welfare. Wonder when will the North Indian state Governments wake up??????
