I had just learned that former President Jimmy Carter had just passed away today. He made it a good 100 years. He is the oldest president at the age of death. He is also the president who served the longest post presidency at 43 years. It would be 44 years if he died right after Trump's inauguration on January 20. He served from January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981 and lived from October 4, 1924 to December 29, 2024. He succeeded Gerald Ford and was succeeded by Ronald Reagan.
