Since starting the petition me and my partner suffered another hate crime outside my home. This hate needs to stop. Trans and non binary people deserve to feel safe in the community. Far too many hateful people are willfully and maliciously misgendering people every day. Social media and the press are overrun with transphobic hate. Even our Prime Minister mocks and scoffs at trans people to parliament. In this election year let's ramp up the pressure on the UK government and say enough is enough!! Trans and non binary people will no longer be treated as less than human. We must demand legal protections for trans and non binary people.

This starts by creating a law that deems deliberate misgendering a hate crime!!
