Thanks to your support, the petition to mandate criminal background checks for yacht crew is gaining momentum again.

We’ve already caught the attention of key media, including Dockwalk, and momentum is building — but we need your continued support.

This isn’t about creating a global database — it’s about using existing systems that already work in other industries like aviation and commercial shipping. We’re calling for a renewable 2-year background check certificate, treated just like an ENG1 or STCW.

🔹 Why it matters:
Too many crew are still being harmed onboard. Repeat offenders keep slipping through the cracks because there’s no formal requirement to check criminal history. That needs to change — now.
