It is still too common in Brazil for people to abandon their dogs, as happened now during the floods in Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil. Either but I won't judge, I don't know what really happened, suddenly in desperation people left their homes...
Unfortunately how a lot of dogs and cats are abandoned on the streets to starve! I've seen people in a very complicated financial situation, but they have a dog and they face the difficulties and support their dogs as God helps. But there are also many people with excellent financial conditions who simply get tired of their dogs and abandon them on the streets.
Remembering that dogs and cats have been domesticated and don't know how to survive without their tutors. The dog is still more dependent on the tutors than the cat.
It's sad and we hope that one day this situation will improve in Brazil. But for now it's important to beg to get a simple signature. And I admit it is disheartening. Getting a single signature is too difficult. It is important that institutions like CCZ have at least a minimum investment, as shelters alone cannot meet the demand. And highlighting that shelters for dogs and cats have a function, the CCZ has another function. And I can confirm that the situation at the Campo Grande CCZ is worse than what was mentioned in the petition. So people from different parts of the world, share the petition.
