Hi Team Aaliyah For MAC, Yesterday we hit 18,700 signatures! We are just 1,300 signatures away from our end goal of 20,000 by end of August. Actress/Singer/Aaliyah Fan Keke Palmer retweeted one of our tweets for Aaliyah for MAC . This tweet quickly garnered us 100 signatures, with one simple retweet to an audience. (See tweet here: http://i65.tinypic.com/2hhhjyd.png ) . On IG @SelenaLaLeyenda , the woman behind pushing MAC Selena to victory posted two post on her instagram supporting Aaliyah For MAC . Her two post reaching out to Selena and Aaliyah fans alike garnered over 100 signatures. The goal of this campaign has always been about honoring R and B Icon/Legend Aaliyah in a big way via a Mac Cosmetics collection, to reintroduce her enduring legacy to new fans. As well as this campaign has been about taking action to create change toward the void of official releases for the fans. Fans always say they want "more" for "Aaliyah's Legacy," in terms of Aaliyah projects that would be released for the fans. Well simply "wanting" it is not enough. We got to take action with what her brother Rashad has given us to get! Aaliyah For MAC IS THE BEGINNING OF THAT CHANGE for AALIYAHS LEGACY, BY THE FANS! While in terms of press coverage, signature numbers, and fan participation this petition/campaign has been the MOST SUCCESSFUL call to action for change by Aaliyah fans EVER, it still has work to be done.
