Today is MLK day and the inauguration for Trump's second term and JD Vance's term as Vice President. I find MLK could be an inspiration for this petition as he campaigned for black rights and we are fighting to expand the rights of our youth.16 and 17 year olds have a lot of rights and bad that voting is not one of them. I find Democrats might be more accepting of it and looks like we're not getting 50 by the time Trump gets in office. I want to email the president when this petition gets 100 signatures but we seem to hardly get any more signatures anymore. I'm trying my best but I'm having no luck. I can't do everything on my own, so I encourage you all to do as much as you can by sharing and even promoting if you have the funds as promoting helps get it outside our groups. I feel strongly about this even when I'm still 17 and won't be 18 until May. I feel like we 16 and 17 year olds could feel strongly about certain things in politics and it'll be good if we could stand up for what we believe in and develop skills we could use for the rest of our lives. Remember I'm doing my best by posting updates to push the petition up in recency to make it easier to find when it comes to tags. What would make it easier to find through searching it up is more signatures.
