Today is the Buddhist holiday Bodhi Day. It celebrates the day Siddhartha Gautama had become enlightened and became the first Buddha. Some Buddhists could celebrate his birth, death, and enlightenment on one day. It is celebrated on the 8th day of the 12 months on the lunar calendar for Mahayana Buddhists. Japan had it applied to the Gregorian calendar, which makes it on December 8th. Bodhi Day is more of a day for meditation. 

John Lennon was assassinated on December 8, 1980. He was assassinated because the killer, Mark David Chapman, was envious and enraged by his lifestyle and that the Beatles were larger than Jesus. Lennon has definitely impacted the world in terms of music. I find his song Imagine could be inspiring

 Remember to do as much as you could do to help get signatures. A $5 promotion gave my other petition 50 signatures. This petition stayed at 42 for a week at least. It needs to gain a signature for once in what it seems like forever. It’s hard for me to constantly find groups to share it with and find the funds to promote it, so I ask you all to pitch in. Share it with people you know and promote it if you have the funds. Promotions help get it outside our groups. Remember this petition goes up in recency for the tags when I post an update.
