Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I thank you all who have already signed. I am also thankful for what all 16 and 17 year olds could do. Around half of people aged 16 and 17 are in the workforce, and practically most if not all of them overall are in school. Thanksgiving is definitely more of a US holiday with us being the only country to celebrate it on this day. The only other major country to officially celebrate it is Canada, which celebrates in October not November (Liberia and Saint Lucia also officially celebrate it but they’re lesser known countries). It is more of a celebration of the pilgrims arriving on the east coast of the US and feasting with the Natives, so obviously it’s important for the U.S. and not as much for other countries. Though there’s controversy among the Natives for all the conflicts between Natives and European settlers. As well arguments among historians for if it actually happened at plymouth. Though Thanksgiving could be overshadowed by the two holidays that surround it, it could be an important day to recognize our history. 

Today is also Karen Gillan’s and Pamela Hayden’s birthdays. Karen Gillan is known for playing Nebula in the MCU and an avatar character in Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji The Next Level. Hayden voices the Simpsons characters Milhouse Van Houten, Jimbo Jones, Rod Flanders, Sarah Wiggum, and Janey Powell. The Simpsons could tie in as it takes place in a town meant to represent all of the United States. Though they had not once gotten a role in public office, they are a part of our entertainment.
